Director of the Center for International Studies Volodymyr Dubovyk delivered a lecture “Europe in U.S. Foreign Policy: the Past, the Present and the Future” at National University Kyiv Mohyla Academy on December 10, 2015.

In this lecture he has observed the evolution of American stance on Europe over the 200 plus years of U.S. history. The focus has been on what place had belong to Europe in U.S. ranking of priorities. The periods of deep engagement have been looked at, including the both world wars and the Cold war. Some special attention was given to the conceptual deliberations beyond U.S. European policy since the end of the Cold war. Most finally, the role of Europe in B. Obama’s administration international policy has been addressed.
