A round table devoted to the 450th anniversary of the Eighty Years' War and 240th anniversary of the American Revolution was hold on the December 9, 2016. It was organized by the Department of International Relations, Institute of Social Sciences and the Department of Modern and Contemporary History of the Faculty of History, Odessa Mechnikov National University.

Students of the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) visited Odessa in the frame of seminar “States and Societies in Transition – History Threats and Opportunities. The Case of Ukraine and Georgia 2016” on 4-8 of June, 2016.

The U.S. Fulbright Student Retreat 2016 has taken place in Odesa I. Mechnikov National University on April 5-7, 2016. The Center for International Studies was local partner in hosting this event.

November 24-25 III Odessa NATO Academy "Shaping the right Euroatlantic strategy for a safer tomorrow" took place at Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University. The event was carried out by Center for International Studies, Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University with support of the NATO Center for Information and Documentation (Kyiv).

The Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation (Kyiv) and the Center for International Studies, Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University held the Round table "Political autumn in the South: Odessa’s sensitive points" on October 8 in Odessa.

Kennan Institute Kyiv office of the Woodrow Wilson Center (Washington, DC) and the Center for International Relations of the Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University convened a round table «Two years of reform: how far Ukraine has progressed?». The event was held on October 3, 2015 in Odessa.

Two diverse and representative panels on Ukraine have taken place in the morning of September 18th at the PONARS Eurasia annual policy conference over at George Washington University.

The Euroatlantic Youth Security Forum was jointly organized by Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine, currently acting as NATO Contact Point Embassy, the Center for International Studies and Odesa I. Mechnikov National University. 62 students from Odesa, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions have attended the meeting.
