Strategic Culture and Foreign Policy of Ukraine, edited by І. Koval, О. Brusylovska, and V. Dubovyk. Оdesa: Odesa Mechnikov National University Press, 2017.
The monograph reflects on Ukraine's foreign policy through the prism of "strategic culture". The focus is made on security in a broad sense, including military and political, economic and ideological aspects. Analyzing Ukraine's policy towards NATO, the EU, the Russian Federation, the USA, China, Turkey, Egypt, as well as specific regions, the following trends have been identified. Ukraine demonstrates the "feminine" features of strategic culture (security policy through diplomacy); the loss of nuclear weapons has pushed Ukraine to neglect the development of conventional deterrence; Ukraine's regional activity is characterized by asymmetrical relations with those who have been declared "strategic partners", which does not meet the potential of our country.
