Director of the Center Volodymyr Dubovyk, Senior Research Fellow Denys Kuzmin, head of board, Information-Research Center "Global" Mykhaylo Geyder, and three students of the School of International Studies of the Odesa I. Mechnikov National University (Tetyana Melnyk, Maxim Volkov and Maria Kurando) have taken part in the summer school "Peace building in Eurasia: education, identity and politics".

This summer school was held on June 3-8, 2019 and hosted by the American University of Central Asia. It was convened in two parts - one in Bishkek and another one at the shore of Issyk-Kul lake. The summer school was a part of the "Eurasian Peace Studies Exchange" project. Various aspects of war, conflict and peace in post-Soviet Eurasian space have been discussed. In his presentation Volodymyr Dubovyk has summarized the five years of Russia-Ukraine war, presented his view on the current dynamics of the conflict and its prospects.

Denys Kuzmin has focused his presenation on the role of religion in the context of the above-mentioned conflict.
