Volodymyr Dubovyk has paid a visit to Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa on October 27th, 2016, where he delivered three lectures for the various courses there.

One lecture was for the class on comparative politics and it was focused on post-Soviet Eurasian space, with an emphasis on what is common and what is different and why the existing political systems vary there.

Another lecture was for the class on "Transitions to democracy" and was devoted specifically to the case of Ukraine and the challenges it faces on the path to more political modernization and liberalization. The third lecture was for the class on international relations theory; in it prof. V. Dubovyk has looked at the crisis/conflict over Ukraine through the prism of various theories which explain it in a variety of ways.
